Tour Detail
Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand, standing at 2,565 meters (8,415 feet) above sea level. Located in Chiang Mai Province within Doi Inthanon National Park, it’s often referred to as “the Roof of Thailand.”
Highlights:
King and Queen Pagodas (Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon & Naphaphonphumisiri):
These beautiful twin stupas were built to honor the King and Queen of Thailand. Surrounded by manicured gardens, they offer stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Nature Trails: Trails like the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail offer breathtaking scenery, especially at sunrise. It’s a popular spot for nature lovers and photographers.
Wachirathan Waterfall: One of the most accessible and beautiful waterfalls in the park, with a powerful cascade and a lush forest backdrop.
Karen Villages: Visitors can explore local hill tribe communities, experience their unique cultures, and purchase handmade crafts like textiles and silver jewelry. You can also learn how locals make traditional tea using local herbs and methods passed down through generations.
Weather: The weather is cooler than most of Thailand year-round.
In the winter months (December to January), temperatures can drop below freezing at the summit.
